Yoga and Community

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built.”  ~Rumi

Leslie Ellis

I’m Leslie Ellis and I am blessed to do work that carries the double benefit of healing self while helping to heal others.  I am the proud owner of Heartsong Yoga in Beaverton, Oregon, where I’ve been practicing and teaching Yoga for the past seven years.

I am grateful for my yoga practice, which has developed and supported me over the last 25 years. Through this practice I have been blessed to bring many amazing people and experiences into my life including the vision and birth of HeartSong Yoga. It is with true delight that I watch this community grow and flourish.

At Heartsong we offer a variety of classes that allow students of every age and ability to grow into their greatest potential. Physically, we challenge one to build strength, flexibility and balance and at the same time we explore these same qualities as they manifest in the mental and emotional self.

This blog is a place where I look forward to sharing some of my own thoughts and ideas about yoga.  I want to share more of myself with you, while also expanding the Heartsong community by connecting more fully and meaningfully online.

I’ll also delve deeper in this online format, to support your study of yoga and assist you in developing an understanding of all the ways in which yoga has enhanced my life… and can enrich yours as well.  This forum will support your daily practice, and will hopefully allow you to get even more from your classes and study.

I hope you’ll read, comment, and enjoy these posts.

Namaste,

Leslie
